That looks really nice. I like it. I've been thinking of trying to find one of these. Did you have to build a "sub-frame" to hold the wood?

I did the same thing a while back. As Dan said, it's a big improvement over the "simulated" wood.

Nice job. It looks like you weathered the wood a bit, too. Also, what size balsa wood did you use?

Nice job. It looks like you weathered the wood a bit, too. Also, what size balsa wood did you use? Yes, I weathered it a little an I may do some more yet. I kinda wanted it to look like it was a fairly new trailer...in its 1st week of service maybe. I did "stain" the wood with a 50/50 wash of Testors leather (I think it was leather anyway) and thinner. Then hit the lower section with my special weathering ingredient, cigarette ashes. I'm pretty sure that I used 1/16" x 1/4" balsa strips. I think they were 3 feet long and real cheap...like 50 cents per strip. I still have to add the red & white reflective stripes to it yet (I got them in the mail last week, but haven't had a chance to put them on yet). Thanks everybody for the positive feedback, I am glad you all like it. BTW, great lookin' trailer phoneguy ! What's the truck is pullin' it ?

Nice lookin' combo Jerry ! I like the blue and the gold together.
The next problem I've got is to build a truck with a winch for the trailer. What did you do ? Did you scratch the winch stuff or is it resin ? Got any detailed pics ?
